A bit about us
We are Sally Broughton and Craig Stuart and together we make up Broughton-Stuart Jewellery. Between us we have over 70 years jewellery making experience. We both worked as independant jewellers before starting in business together in 1995, mainly doing private commissions and craft fairs. Then in 2001 we opened our shop in Dunkeld.
All of the mokume gane jewellery produced in the Broughton-Stuart Jewellery workshop is designed and made by Craig. Craig is a self-taught jewellery maker who returned to college as a mature student. He graduated in 1998 from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, Scotland with a design degree in Jewellery and Metalwork. Since graduating Craig has specialised in the art of mokume gane and is now one of only a few makers in the UK, indeed in Europe, to produce mokume gane exclusively in precious metals. Craig also makes a range of jewellery in silver, gold and platinum.
Sally also makes her own line of silver jewellery but mainly takes care of the running of the business.
